     Students in both grade 7 and grade 8 will be starting a unit on Geometry very soon.  In this unit, students will discover the relationship between angles and calculate missing angles in a diagram using several relationship rules.  Students will also calculate the interior angles in triangles, and quadrilaterals.
    The math class that your child is participating in today looks very different than the math classes that you (and I) likely sat through.  See an article on how math is currently taught and why it is taught this way here.  The three-part lesson described mid-way through the article is the cornerstone of our mathematics programme.
